Size check

How are you guys doing?

I went in yesterday for a check up with my OB and she wanted to do an ultrasound to check baby's size. I know this girl is big but I don't think she is as big as her brothers were. But, I'm HUGE. I measure around at my widest point now at 32 weeks the same I measured last year with her brother at 40 weeks. UGH!!! I barely fit in any of my maternity clothes any more and I have weeks left to go.

I'm getting new stretch marks - I thought being my 3rd pregnancy I might not get any more. I didn't get any new ones with my 2nd. I've earned every one of them but I don't have to like it.

My first was 10lb 11oz, my second was 9lb 14oz and right now I'm starting to wonder if she's going to be my biggest.

I know ultrasounds can be way off - days before I had my second they guesstimated he'd be 9lb even - he was a pound heavier. Yesterday this little one measured three weeks ahead. The most my boys ever measured ahead was two weeks.

So, it's a wait and see game - we're all taking our guesses at how big she'll be. I'm already pretty miserably full of baby.

I've been having preterm labor and am 2cm dilated. I'll go back in next week for the GBS test. The doc wants to do it early just in case I go early - she thinks I will. I have a feeling this little one will be early and I'm secretly hoping she will (just not quite this early) - I don't know if I can take 7 more weeks.

How are you all doing?

At my 28 UP, I measured 32. My last was 10lbs 3oz. I have a feeling this one isn't going to be quite so big though.

My measurements seem to be right on for my uterus, but no idea about the baby's size. I just know that personally I'm very tiny compared to other DDC mamas. I'm the same size as I was with my first baby, judging by the pictures taken, but I haven't gained nearly the same amount of weight. In fact, I think I've only gained about 12 pounds, which is half of what I should have gained by now (according to "the charts") for an already-underweight mama.

I actually think that this baby is going to be smaller than my first. He was 7lbs 14oz and 21" long. I'm certainly not any larger than in my first pregnancy and feeling pretty comfortable really. I would love to have a 7lb baby as I had a really hard time getting an almost 8lb baby out! It amazes me that from this point some babies end up being 6lbs and others end up being 11-12lbs, that's a big difference.

I gained 80 lbs with DD1... 40 lbs until the last four weeks when I gained 40 lbs in fluid (I was fine just swollen). She was 7' 13'' and 20.5 inches long.

This one, I am measuring right on and from palpation she weighs about 3-4 lbs and is 17 inches long. She is tall. I can tell. LOL

I have only gained 25 lbs at 32 weeks and am happy with that. If I stay under 40 I will be happy.

I was heavy when we concieved so my weight gain seems small, about 12 lbs... but 7 of that was in just 2 weeks... so I'm thinking water retention.

first ds was 8.9 so I expect about the same and feel pretty leary of estimates because they are offten so wrong...

that being said, at 31 1/2 wks I'm measuring 33 cm... and not the least bit dialated... baby is high and unsettled, breech

At my growth scan on the 1st, A was 4 lbs 3 oz and B was 3 lbs 7 oz. I was 31 weeks and 2 days then.
I have another on Monday

I don't get anymore more scans, and haven't had one since my 20-wk level 2. I'm guessing that this one will be the same size as the others:

DS1: 7 lb 9 oz 21" @ 40w 4d
DS2: 7 lb 1 oz 20.5" @ 38w 1d
DD1: 5 lb 5 oz 18" @ 34w 4d

They all would have been about the same size at 40 weeks

I'm totally in the dark! My m/w has never mentioned size and I never asked...I guess it will just be a surprise.

Last time, a week or two before my due date with #1, I asked my m/w if she could estimate size for me. Her answer was: "Are you sure you want to know? It's going to hurt either way!"

Anyway, I'm curious, but not expecting any more scans...

just in the last week i have been feeling like i got really big, and everyone keeps telling me how huge i am and how i can't possibly go for another 9 weeks. i am measuring 3cm big i think and have gained 45lbs so far at 31 weeks. i have switched to wearing dresses exclusively. i can't tolerate waistbands anymore. my ribs hurt too.

last pg i gained close to 70lbs, measured big the whole time, and had a 7lb6oz baby - i thought for sure i'd have a 9-lb baby and a 10-lb placenta. i was way off.

my fundal height has been measuring +2 or +3 cm at each appointment. At the level II u/s at 26w, the baby was in the 46th percentile for size (so on target for being about 7lbs). Because I'm petite (I'm 4'9 and change) we've talked about baby size and we're guessing that I'll have a baby that's a little below average.

I had my growth ultrasound today at 31w5d and they estimated baby's weight to be 4 lbs. 15 oz. (82%tile) DD1 was 9 lbs. 4 oz. at birth (40w4d) and at her growth scan (32w) she was estimated at 5 lbs. 4 oz (90th%tile).
I'm not expecting this one to be small- lets just say that. Probably around 9 lbs. (My C-section is scheduled for 38w6d). I'm having a REALLY hard time gaining weight this pg though. (Never thought I'd ever have THAT issue in my life!)
