I use Ecos laundry degergent and am going to try Charlie's Soap for the diapers. Not sure how I'll wash baby's clothes yet - what are you ladies doing?

Same way I've washed all my babies' clothes and diapers

We use Tide and I double rinse everything. Our water is super super hard and we don't have a softener. Anything but Tide doesn't get our clothes clean. If I don't double rinse, 9yo DD's eczema flares. I wash baby clothes with the rest of the family's clothes, too. Dipes get done by themselves (I know a lot of people wash dipes w/towels, etc. but that has always grossed me out).

I do dipes separately, but I use the same detergent for everyone/everything.

Well, my sensitive skin can only take Gain detergent. I used to be able to use Tide, but now it gives me a rash. 7th generation doesn't work for me... a lot of the free and clear ones give me a rash. I tried m dd's clothes in Gain, and it gave her a rash. I had a sample of Dreft so I tried that and her rash cleared right up, so we bought a full bottle and used that. I'm not a huge fan of Dreft, it gives me a rash, but I actually have a bottle that I bought to wash a blanket I made for a friend's baby. So, I guess I will use up that bottle and then try the baby's clothes with our clothes and see how it goes. I may throw dh or dd's things in with the baby's some times if they need something washed.

All clothes get washed together in Charlie's. Dipes are washed in Charlie's and Oxyclean separately.

we use seventh generation so i am confident that will be find for baby also. i will do dipes seperate but i have no idea what i will use then, i plan on getting a trial soaps package and seeing what works best for us.

all clothes get washed together with detergent we buy from Costco. Baby's diapers get washed with a diaper friendly detergent, they are the only things that use different soap around here, hell I don't even separate regular clothing if it isn't wash and wear then I don't buy it.

I will probably wash the babe's clothes with my clothes and DH and DS will have their clothes washed together (they really are dirtier.) We use "eco-friendly" detergents or I make my own (which is still eco-friendly.)

With all my clothes, normal detergent, diapers separately.

yep!

I have allergies to a large number of perfumes and dyes used in most detergents to start with, so we already wash with stuff I'd feel comfortable using on baby clothes.

Diapers separately, too.

We use free and clear detergent on everything but I will still wash baby's clothes seperately for at least the first few months.

We usea Allen's for everything...Dh's work clothes get washed alone.

separately with baby detergent of some sort (maybe method?)

Anyways - I got back and forth depending on how tight our budget is for our regular clothes, so on the off chance shes sensitive (so far, neither of my babies has been) - I'll use one bottle of the baby stuff and then test her stuff in the regular soap....if it's okay, then I'll start usingit, but probably still separately bc I have reflux babies and I run out of clothes and stuff for them a LOT!

Dipes are separate and in whatever we use. I know it's not the best for them, necessarily - but it works and they work, so if it ain't broke, right????

I hadn't thought of this. Since it's just the two of us I'll probably just throw the baby's clothes in with ours. We use natural eco-friendly fragrance free detergent.

The dipes and wipes will get washed by themselves.

I've been wanting to switch to Mountain Green fragrance free or Charlie's but no one within miles of me carries either one. I might buck up and buy a case of the Mountain Green. I need to do the math and see what makes the most sense financially.

I voted separate with our normal detergent, which is Trader Joe's detergent. I love, love, LOVE this detergent and think that clothes washed in normal detergents like Tide, Gain, etc. stink to high heaven--they seem so overly perfumed after using my beloved TJ's for so long. It is scented with only lavender essential oil, very lightly--the clothes are just CLEAN, not perfumed. I never had a problem washing DS's clothes in it when he was a newborn and will keep using it like normal for the new baby. I do wash all clothes separate though--I do a load for me once a week, a load for DS once a week, a load of sheets once a week, etc...so I'll just add another load for new baby! DH does his own laundry separate but uses the same detergent. I won't let anything else stink up my washer. For diapers I use simple green and washing soda.

We use Purex detergent. No perfumes. I plan to keep using that after this baby is born. I will probably wash it's clothes separately at first.

My husband always comes home super dirty (he's in construction & has his own painting biz) so I wash all HIS stuff separately, then I (will) wash DS's stuff with mine with normal detergent (Tide free & clear) and then baby's in Ecover or Ecos, whichever I canm find at the moment. At least until he's 6 months or so - then I'll just wash everyone's together. Except my DH's nasty work clothes of course!

If you can find it, Ecover brand has AWESOME detergent, liquid fab. softener and an AMAZING stain remover - great for newborn poopy stains!

Everything is washed together. Dipes seperate. With three kids and lots of bedding, there's no way I could do everything in different loads!

we use Seventh Gen also. i am not sure how i am going to wash the baby's clothes. the first time i may just wash them separately and then knowing me they will get thrown in with our stuff b/c why do an extra load? plus our washer doesn't have a sm. or med. option and baby stuff is tiny.
