I just throw it all in together and wash it in whatever detergent we have. My husband does most of our shopping, and I think he typically gets the same detergent, but if some other brand is on sale that month, he might switch. As long as new babe doesn't show sensitivity to anything, I've never found a reason to wash baby clothes separately or in a special detergent. In my opinion, the "baby specific" detergents are just another way for companies to make more money off of babies
They'll try to convince you to do everything different for baby, buy every gadget, every gizmo, etc. It doesn't work for this mom!!!!
