I just throw it all in together and wash it in whatever detergent we have. My husband does most of our shopping, and I think he typically gets the same detergent, but if some other brand is on sale that month, he might switch. As long as new babe doesn't show sensitivity to anything, I've never found a reason to wash baby clothes separately or in a special detergent. In my opinion, the "baby specific" detergents are just another way for companies to make more money off of babies They'll try to convince you to do everything different for baby, buy every gadget, every gizmo, etc. It doesn't work for this mom!!!!

Of course I'll alter my method if baby shows sensitivities.

Ditto for me! We usually do separate loads at our house too! I will definitely start washing the baby's clothes separately using a detergent for sensitive skin. After a few months, I'll use whatever detergent is in the house for baby stuff.

Funny timing, this morning while driving I was thinking that Dreft is probably the biggest scam of the baby products. That stuff is loaded with chemicals yet people think it's better.

We use natural laundry soaps for our whole family, so why separate Baby's clothing?
