In their "everyday heros" section this latest issue, have an article about a mom who died just after childbirth and all these amazing women who stepped in to nurse the baby and are STILL DOING it, coming over in shifts to nurse and hold the baby!! I cant believe that I finally saw a mainstream magazine publish something this far out of most peoples comfort zone and do it in a POSITIVE light! Yea! Im so happy!!

The dad said it was his wifes wish to nurse the baby until he was one year old and that he intends to honor that and is so grateful to these women. It made me cry!

I read it too! It was such a great article. How awsome is it that the dad was so committed to keeping to what his wife wanted for their litttle guy. Those women are so awsome. I'd do it in a heart beat, wouldn't you?

Is this the same man that was on Oprah's fathers days special on Friday? The story sounded familiar (couldn't find it when I searched People.com) but they didn't mention bf at all on the show.

The dad from the People story is in Michigan, and I think his baby is only a few months old...
