Boys fairy costume?

Thread Starter
Attending a Ren. type fair with my DD and my BFF and her son. She (BFF) is really jealous that she has a boy and can't dress him like a fairy

*I keep telling her "yes you can, a boy fairy", but I can't find any pictures to share with her for costume ideas. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

Go to www.flowerfairies.com and I'm pretty sure there are some boy fairy things there, too, although most are girly.

Wasn't Peter Pan sort of a fairy?

ETA: or what about Oberon, King of the Fairies?

I'd go for elf or brownie with it, sure there are some boy fairies but those would be more boyish.

Edit: to clarify, I mean traditional elf not fantasy book elf. Troublemaking nature loving little person in ragged earthy colored clothes, pointy ears. They help out around the house so long as ya bribe them, if not they do all kinds of nasty deeds to you and yours (hiding stuff, breaking stuff, killing livestock...).

Peter Pan or some type of elf is what I'd do for one of my boys. If one of them wanted to dress in wings and such, I'd make it happen. But boys can be mean to each other and I wouldn't dress my boys up in what is generally seen as a "girl" costume without them really wanting to. Same as I wouldn't dress them as a princess or anything else involving a skirt in a culture that doesn't accept men or boys wearing skirts/dresses.
