Cervix question

Okay, there's sorta a TMI aspect to this question

Does anyone know what their cervix feels like right now, and how that compares to pre-preg?

For various reasons (here's the TMI part!) I'm rather familiar with the way my cervix feels, it's usually pretty hard (compared to the other tissue up there!) and completely closed (feels like a dimple sorta, with a middle that I can tell is the opening, but it isn't open).

HOWEVER, mine right now is very soft!! What's up with that?? Why would it be so soft this early? Now, I didn't feel it during my other pregnancies, no idea what it was like then, it could have been just as soft for all I know. It just surprised me to find it so soft this time.

Anyone else??

i have only tried feeling for mine once this pregnancy...not too long ago actually and i couldn't find it, it's up too high...... i wouldn't be surprised now if i find myself checking again after this post. wait, maybe i shouldn't, i'll just worry if its not to specification!
-but no sorry i have no clue over here.

Well, right after posting this, I did a google search, and I guess it's common for the cervix to be softer in pregnancy! I knew that there was a lot more blood in the area, but it really surprised me HOW soft it is!! Very stretchy (not that I was trying to stretch it, but just that I could tell if I wanted to stretch it, I probably could) I'll be sure not to mess with it much, I don't want to dislodge my mucous plug or anything!

That freaked me out too. But I know mine was high and pointed back, but I was shocked at how swollen and soft it felt. Then at my 19 week u/s (after I checked), it measured 4.8 cm.

Now my latest cervical worry is that the baby's foot is going to poke through or something. She is kicking so much down there. I liked it much more when she was transverse. Now, I have no idea if she is really breech or if it's a punch I am feeling... who knows, but I keep hoping she isn't putting too much pressure on my cervix.

You know, my first son did that, and I asked my dr if it was possible he was kicking or punching my cervix, and she laughed and said "yep, sure is, little booger!" I must have looked worried because she quickly said "don't worry, he won't kick himself out!"

hehe, I've also had the concern at some points that a little foot is going to kick right out!

I believe mine is quite soft right now, and I was also told that I'm about 1cm - which is very normal for multips.
