I have an HE Washer (Maytag Neptune). We've been having some issues with stink and I think it's because my washer doesn't use enough water.
I started using Tide F&C to help combat some of the stink (just a little bit, the HE kind, not up to the first line) but it's not working.
I usually do 1 short cycle to rinse, no soap, then 1 long cycle on HOT (long wash cycle, max extract, extra rinse), with a touch of Tide F&C, and another short cycle to do a good rinse on cold, no soap, then most of the time I line dry (except for here lately because it's been raining non-stop).
I THINK maybe I could sweet talk my mom into letting me use her washing machine to strip but I'd prefer not schlep all the way over there if I can just use my washer.
Any tips?
Oh, it is a top load, but it's still HE AND it doesn't have a center agitator, just these two little things on the bottom...they stopped making it my mom got it for free when Maytag switched to Whirlpool and they fired her (and everyone else)...Maytag/Whirlpool went through and gave away all the S&D stuff
