Kefir-makes me feel nauseaous?

After reading so many threads about Kefir I finally picked some up at WF's. I made a smoothie w some berries and bannana. Shortly, after I started feeling nauseaous (sp?).This was a 4pm and its almost 7pm and still feel yucky. Now, I have never had a problem w dairy. Did I have too much? What would cause this? I do green drinks alot including wheat grass and have never had this type of issue before. Maybe I had too much. I really loved the sour flavor but I'm scared to try it again. I had a very light lunch so maybe it partly hunger-weird.

I think you may have had to much of a good thing at once. The probiotics are very high in Kefir, although the store bought is far less potent then homemade raw.
Anytime you add probiotics to the diet, it is best to go slow. A couple ounces per day to start out.
You may have a lot of gut issues, that have been unnoticed, and the kefir went to town on them, and you are dealing with deotx flu.

Hmmnn, I will try it again this afternoon. I probably did have to much. Aftter I had dinner I felt better. I'm going to have a normal lunch and see how that might affect it. I've never had a problem w any type of foods for detoxing but I've never had Kefir before.

Well, I made it today again and I was fine! It just must have been because I had a very light lunch and also had a big green drink. Maybe the combo was not good although it was many hrs later.
