acupuncture anyone?

Is anyone here doing acupuncture? I've done it in the past, but I went yesterday for the first time this pregnancy. We focused on my SI joint. I was so amazed. It really did release a lot of pain in my lower back, but more than that, seconds after all the needles were in my baby starting moving around LIKE MAD in there. He did some really crazy moves for about 20 minutes straight. My acupuncturist said the baby was probably feeling the energy release. Whoa. Really incredible...

I will start around 38-39 weeks. I did it with DS and I am a firm believer that it is what made my labor so short and manageable. I am not quite ready to start before then. I know there are tons of other things it can help with but I am saving my money to cover the kick starting labor sessions after 40 weeks if needed

I have been doing it the whole pregnancy. I LOVE it!! In the beginning it worked wonders on headaches and now it makes my hip and foot pain disappear. I feel this overall sense of well being after a session that lasts for days. Worth every single (expensive) penny!! I will be 32 weeks on Monday and plan to start twice weekly session for the rest of my pregnancy. It is a sacrifice financially and we have had to forgo other things, but it is totally worth it.

I wonder... My acupuncturist is an MD/OMD so I get to pay my regular copay of $25 per visit. Lucky Lucky otherwise my insurance wouldn't cover it.

August09baby and Pernillep have your babies ever gone crazy during a session like mine did?

Sounds awesome. Unfortunately, we don't have an acupuncturist here....
