Floppy heads

All of my stuffed animals and dolls have floppy heads. Am I doing something wrong?

not really it just happens, even to store bought stuffies.

A few things i found help is to over stuff.

After i get the whole thing stuffed to running stitch through the front and back of the neck trying to hide the stitches as i go... this will help hold the stuffing in the neck and prevent it from separating and becoming floppy.
If your using batting cut a length the height of ur stuffie (top of head to butt) and nice and long, roll it up and stuff the head and body with it.

I always thought it was one of the best parts of home made stuffies. Goodness knows my girls have never complained.

Feest's ideas are good. I also am working from a pattern right now that calls for a popsicle stick shoved up inside the doll to act as a sort of backbone. I don't know how well it will work, because I don't actually have any popsicle sticks to use, but they're easy enough to obtain.
