Now THAT Was Gross!!! (TMI)

So this is probably a TOTALY overshare, but at this point I think we are all pretty over that I am almost 41 weeks and today me and DH went for a 2.15 mile very hilly walk around the golf course then came home and DTD and afterwards I was in the shower and I am PRETTY sure I lost my mucous plug. It was possibly the most disgusting thing to happen yet this pregnancy... it was like several big blobs of mucous, like I blew my nose only my nose was my crotch!! Does that sound like my plug? I really hope this means something....

Okay, that was THE funniest thing I've read today!

It does sound like what I've heard others describe. This is my fifth and I've actually never experienced the snotty mucous plug drop. I think I might be happy about that It doesn't sound... pleasant.

I was pretty grossed out too when I lost mine. It was much more nose-source looking than I thought it would be! Annoyingly, I lost it three weeks ago, (38wks) so didn't mean labor for me! Hopefully it does for you though

Yeah, I know they can regenerate and all but I am hoping that since I am almost 41 weeks and it was a LOT that it won't and we will have a baby SOON and we can avoid another c/s

yeah, I'm hoping I see mine again really soon as well! Ill be 41wks tomorrow myself. It seems if its more pink-tinged its a sign labor will start more than if its just clear, not sure. Mine was a day after a cervical exam so I think it was more due to that than labor, etc. But I guess after DTD might be a similar effect

Oh! I thought it had to have blood in it to be the mucous plug! That means I lost mine a couple of days ago! Yay! Because yep, it looked exactly how you described it, chely! Thanks for the laugh, by the way! Not TMI at all, just a really funny visual!

I must admit, I can't say that I have been jealous of someone else's mucous before. The Johnny Depp Willy Wonka was on TV earlier. Imagine me whining in a Veruca Salt voice, "But I want a mucous plug tooooo!"

Yep, sure sounds like your plug. I lost mine w/ ds at 36 weeks and never went into labor (induction at 38). I have yet to see a sign of mine yet (38w1d today). I guess I'm hoping for bloody show right before or my water breaking at this point!

lost mine this morning and it looked just as disgusting as yours sounds! i'm still contracting but not anything consistent. they are definitely more intense than before the plug came out! GL, mama!

Mine came out in bits and pieces yesterday after a 2 mile walk. Seriously, it looked like boogers.

That or it was the single raunchiest vaginal infection I've ever heard of. I"m going with mucus plug

I'm glad I'm not the only one with snot crotch going on!!! Hopefully something more starts happening today or tomorrow... too sore from yesterdays walk to do that again today but we are going to go for a short walk this evening with the dog and DTD and I have a lot of cleaning to do so hopefully we can have this baby before the eviction date of the 18th!!!
