Still not in maternity clothes?

Thread Starter
Anyone else out there still not using maternity clothes? With rare exception, my clothes (including my jeans!) still fasten just fine. When I'm in pajammas or naked, I have a very prominent baby belly (we skipped right over 'bump' to HUGE!) but the baby is sitting pretty high, and my pants still fit just fine. My shirts go around, but I am avoiding those that are a little shorter as between the added breast/belly mass, and the already stretchmarked post-baby belly, it's not a pretty sight when I reach up.

I did lose weight with this pregnancy (I always do) so I suppose that's what's making things balance out, but it's sad that maternity clothes in my size are still swimming on me!

pretty much. i can't wear my pre-preg jeans though...i wish.... i mean i CAN wear them with a bella band but they are way uncomfy, so nope. the only thing i have bought that is maternity is a pair of jeans and some leggings. other than that i am wearing non maternity stuff.

just like, an hour ago, lol my pre-pregnancy shirts have become too small. mostly they are just too short.
my pregger jeans stopped fitting around 10 weeks.
all my dresses are regular not maternity but bigger then i would wear pre-pregnancy.
so mostly i have a combination

I was 20wks pg w/my first before I needed any maternity clothes- and I was so sad I wanted to wear "pregnancy pants" as my now 6yo calls them

This time around, um, I was in mat. jeans before 12wks

Lucky you!! I have been in them since 10 friggin' weeks this time! Although, I have to say, I do quite enjoy my "eating pants".

I'm still mixing and matching! Funny, because with the first three pregnancies, I ditched the pre-preggo clothes in the first trimester. I like to wear tight-fitting clothing, and ANY pressure on my hips or waist was uncomfortable.

This time around, I am still able to wear my loose-fitting pre-preggo pants and stretchy tees. Just last week I had to start unbuttoning my low-rise jeans and wear the Be Band. I can fit into a couple of my old maternity pants, but some of the ones from my 3rd pregnancy (which I know I was wearing at 22 weeks) are still way huge on me. I've been working really hard not to gain as much weight this time around!!! Yay, me!

still in my regular clothes... having issues with pants not wanting to stay up over the belly, but no other issues. Helps that I'm still in the weight loss zone.

Wow ladies, I am so impressed! I definitely haven't gone near my pre-preg stuff in forever.

Well up until 21 weeks I could still fit in my pre-preg pants, but mostly I'm not in maternity clothes because I hate them. I just bought larger sized regular shirts and skirts. And I made some maternity skirts. But styles these days seem to fit my pg belly better than maternity clothes.

i went shoping this weekend. Maternity clothes are so ugly. And NOT my style at all.
They already make you look like a *yawn* mum.
So I ended up buying some dresses, empire waist, that are my regular size.
Not sure I'll be able towear them at 38 weeks, but I can rock them right now.

powpow-any suggestions where to look? I have a couple from last year that I have had on heavy rotation. Thinking a few more couldn't hurt, right?

I've been wearing maternity bottoms since around the beginning of the 2nd trim. However, I can still wear a lot of my regular pre-preg summer tops at this point. I'm still plump. I've already gained 27 lbs.

I have no idea how these tops are fitting me but I like them because they are a bit snug and make me feel thinner for some reason, unlike the big floaty maternity tops.

well, I'm in London so not sure where would be good where you are.

Do you have a topshop or an H&M? They are the only places I can think of that make somewhat stylish mat. clothes that are in the US & the UK.
I just bought normal dresses. I haven't put on any weight anywhere except my tummy & thighs so they fit me. Hopefully I will like them when I don't have a bump!

I'm wearing a combo. While my pre-preg bottoms still fit - I look like a stuffed sausage in the tops AND they're totally uncomfy to me, so forget it.

But, I have a few of the 'yoga' style really loose elastic waisted skirts, etc. that are fine - I'm wearing those regularly, plus longer stretchy tank tops, etc. stil work fine too.

I'm still in the negatives for weight as well....but not by much anymore, I think.

I seem to be sitting very high as well -like most of my belly is above my belly button - I wonder if that has something to do with it? (like, my belly button is facing kind of down - instead of straight out, kwim?)
