I've been trying to write up his full birth story since he was 2 days old, and at 8 days old I'm still going! So here are the brief details:
Kynan Glenn
Born June 6 at 8.38pm
4.045kg (just under 9lbs)
50cm long (19.7in), 36cm head circumference
13 days late by c-section, after 11 hours labour and failing to progress.
Was planning a natural birth in the Birth Centre, but was admitted to hospital on June 4 to be induced due to high blood pressure.
I'm absolutely smitten with my little boy! We've had a lot of feeding problems, but they're starting to resolve now.
Kynan arrived just in time. His grandmother died 5 days after his birth, after holding out for his arrival. My DH took him from our hospital before he was even 24 hrs old, and drove him to her hospital for the big introduction. I missed it as wasn't in a state to move. Our first outing into the real world will be to her funeral this Tuesday.
