good pediatricians in honolulu

Thread Starter
hi everyone! i recently secured a position in honolulu. we'll be moving there at the end of september and are seeking a good pediatrician in the area. my DH and i (and by extension, our 3-month old DS) are vegan so we'd like to find someone who will be informed enough to know that this is a perfectly healthy choice for all of us. thanks!

I really like Dr Reis but I'm not vegan so I don't have any personal experience with that situation.

Will you be living in Honolulu, or in one of the surrounding cities?

I love Dr. Lori Kimata, and her team. They have an office downtown, and one in North Shore.

If this is the same one I think it is, many military wives I talk to absolutely rave about Dr. Reis. No hassle about no vac/modified vac, down to earth, not pushy. I don't know about the vegan angle, though.

Yeah it's the same Dr Britt Reis, I know ladies in the AP group rave about her too. I have a newborn and so far I'm delaying while I research and she has zero issue with that and encouraged me to hold off on the Hep B the hosp wanted to give until I learn more, etc. She has a lac consultant on staff as well. My DH thought it was cool she did ear piercings LOL, we are considering it for our 8 yr old.
