men, lol (okay, my man)

DH can be so wonky in his thinking sometimes. I've had two children, both were born by c-section. My first was an emergency (aren't they all?) and my second was planned, although I went in to labor with her and was 5-6 cm when I got to the hospital after waiting at home for 6 hours after the first sign of labor started, and the OB even asked me to try for vaginal and I didn't (regret it terribly now!). My first child I labored for 11 hours and pushed for 1 hour (we could see his head, but he was turned wrong ) before being rushed to emer room for c/s. So I definitely went in to labor with both of the children I already have.

A while back I was discussing a possible VBA2C with DH and about the scheduled c-section being a week before my EDD. I told him I hoped to go in to labor with this baby early so I can atleast feel the labor even if I do go ahead with the c-section and tubal. DH's response? He said he didn't think I'd ever been in labor and thought being in labor meant the actual last minutes before popping the baby out vaginally. I can't believe he didn't realize that the 11 hours with our first child and 6 hours with our second child "before" the c-section was actual labor. geez. I love DH but sometimes he is

I know that you're considering a tubal, you might want to research it a bit and talk to your dr...they can now do a form of tubal vaginally, and it can be done safely after a vaginal delivery. The form I'm familiar with vaginally is where they insert a little spring-like thingy in each falopian tube which builds up scar tissue and blocks the tube. It's not effective immediately, since you have to give the scar tissue time to form, but it's not likely you'll be having much sex immediately post partum anyway

So if you still want to try for a VBA2C, you can, and you can still get the tubal without having another surgery. Something to consider perhaps.

Thanks for the info. DH really wants me to go for the c/s ofcourse but I've been reading up on VBA2C for a while now. I bought several books and although most of the stories are about women who have only had 1 c/s, there are a few about women who have had 2 c/s like I have. If I go in to labor before my scheduled c/s I will likely try to go vaginal this time and scrap the tubal. I can always do it later or use another form of BC.
