We are well beyond babywearing considering my youngest is now 6 years old. (OMGosh time has flown!) I miss it dearly! It definitely made an impression on my kids. Thought I'd pop in and pass this one along, feel free to add your own!
I pulled out my sewing machine to fix something and my DD asked if all moms have sewing machines. I said a lot do, its almost a necessity these days. She replied with "Yeah, so they can make slings with it." My kids still equate the sewing machine's primary purpose with making slings and carriers. Gotta love em!
