Dietician or Nutritionist? Or a Book Recommendation>

I need to consult with some kind of expert. I think our diet (especially my teen daughter's) is not as healthy as it should be. But I don't know if I should look for a dietician or a nutritionist.

Honestly, a good book on diet and nutrition would probably do just fine for me, but dh and dd won't take my word for it, even my researched word. So I need to find an expert.

In case this helps, I am a vegitarian (I eat milk products and occasional eggs). DD is a mostly-vegitarian, and eats some chicken. I would want someone who will respect that.

Unfortunately, many don't have a clue about real (non-USDA food pyramid) nutrition. You're really going to have to call around and look. Maybe post in your tribe for recommendations. Some of the best nutritionists are hiding in other fields - my acupuncturist is fabulous, but she doesn't advertise for nutrition, she just includes it as part of her services.
