so i have noticed i am not losing as much hair and my hair feels so gloriously thick and healthy as of late. i wish i didn't have to even think about losing it pp. anyone else?

I haven't noticed it getting thicker, but I was in the shower with hubby last night and was shedding quite a bit (I hadn't shampooed my hair in several days!) and he commented "I thought you weren't supposed to lose hair until AFTER the baby is born?" Then we both laughed remembering the ridiculous amount of hair I lost after my first birth

Seriously, I was like a dog shedding in the spring!!!

OMG the postpartum shedding is ridiculous, huge clumps of hair coming out. My hair doesn't seem thicker or nicer to me right now (never does) but it must get thicker or I'd be bald post partum

My nails always grow so well when I am pg, normally they are pretty weak and break off but right now I have nice strong nails and no broken ones!!

ugh - I'm not looking forward to my 'nasty hair' stage after the baby. Took me a whole year to equalize, yk?

It doesn't seem that great to me right now either - but i'm with you, it must be thicker, right? I still seem to be losing an awful lot whenever I'm in the shower though....and there was plenty stuck in the drain that dh cleaned out last night (yuck!)....

so are there bald spots?
I've never heard of ACTUAL bald spots - it just FEELS that way bc you're losing so much....AND, my hair definitely behaves differently. (I usually just go with some kind of bob after or just before baby - it's just easier to deal with that way.)(I use a lot more products, yk?)

Nope, I never had bald spots -- just seemed like a scalping had occurred when you looked at the shower drain, the bathroom floor and the hair brush after I'd shower!

OH! And I've always had super thick hair and to this day my hairdresser says its still as thick as ever before...so its not affected anything except I have WAY less curl and a TONNE more Grey....

Mine definitely feels thicker although I wouldn't use the word luxurious for it , it's just MORE. I am not at all looking forward to the postpartum shedding, I cut my hair down to shoulder-length after ds1 because it was so bad. On the other hand, right now it's just thick and heavy and frizzy thanks to our humidity, so maybe I won't miss it nearly as much when it starts falling out!

ooh... doesn't the hair thing mean you are having a boy or girl? That is one pregnancy symptom that you could love!
