whole grain, low-sugar, baked goods for kids?

My kids are eating me out of house and home lately, and they love carbs. I do bake bread but would like to have some other recipes for healthy, lightly sweet baked good snacks...like cookie or bars with whole grains, sweetened with applesauce, etc. Any good recipes out there? I already make banana bread, pumpkin muffins, and baked oatmeal.

how about date-nut bars, or other varieties of fruit muffins? Carrot-pineapple muffins or bread?

In my humble opinion, fruit-juice is not especially more desirable as a sweetener than sugar is, and most of the fruit-juice-sweetened baked goods I've tried tend to be gummy and have an off flavor.

Banana Oat Bundles

If you have really ripe bananas, I think these are good even without any added sugar.
