Question about breast soreness

Hi everyone,

5 wks, and for the past couple weeks I've had sore, full breasts, with an increase in soreness from last week up until yesterday. Today I woke up, and nothing. I can't tell if they feel less full or not either. Is this normal? I'm scared that it somehow means I'm going to lose the baby, since it's really been my most consistent symptom.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Do you have a doctor/midwife, etc yet? It's certainly worth a phone call and inquiry.

I wish I could help with a personal experience, but my breasts haven't been sore at all...

Symptoms can certaintly come and go. I haven't had the soreness either, although I'm still nursing and I think that might be why...I wouldn't worry too much, it might come back with a vengence!

I'm in the same shoes. I am 5w3d and barely sore at all today. I started SO sore, even a week before AF was due, and long before I even thought it could mean pregnancy and it seems that in the past few days sometimes they do feel sore, and other times not at all. I think they are a little more sore at night than in the morning, but today they are definitely the least sore they have been yet. Sore breasts is one of my main symptoms, too, which is why it makes me nervous. But I am glad to read I am not the only one!

See how they feel later in the day - for some reason, mine are the worst right before bed, when I'm getting undressed. I kind of wonder if it's something about sleeping that dissipates the hormones a little and alleviates the symptoms in the morning...

Totally normal!

During my last pregnancy I sat up in bed one day and freaked out because my breasts were suddenly not sore at all! I had had 2 miscarriages, so naturally I was worried sick. Had HCG blood draws to ease my mind and everything was great. So from personal experience YES the soreness can come and go. Mine came back occasionally but not as intense.

breast soreness was one of my first symptoms and made me feel secure for a long while. Then last week, I literally woke up and realized my breasts didn't hurt! I spent all day randomly and discreetly mashing to see if there was any ounce of soreness! Nothing! The next day it came back but I understand the concern! I was worried but I also have other symptoms, I think it is really great to look at what the other women are experiencing. Just like all of the fertility charts, each set of symptoms is wildly unique and can very day to day!

Thank you all so much!! What a relief! (flavorfull, I was poking at them all day too, lol)

I called the doctor earlier today and left a message. They called back and assured me it's normal. Between this thread and the phone call, I feel so much better!

I guess I will just enjoy the break in soreness while it lasts.
