Brand new pregnancy and novocaine

I think I may be pregnant!I got 2 faint bfp's in a row today and yesterday on a FRER test. everyone else who sees it says it is a positive.

I have severe bone loss in my mouth and need to get cleanings at the dentist every 3 months. In these cleanings I get a topical- noninjected novocaine type numbing agent applied. Additionally, for one area I sometimes get actual novocaine injected because the area is so nervy and root exposed that I can't handle the pain with even just the topical.

I am scheduled for a cleaning in a week. I will keep up my cleanings throughout the pregnancy. But I am wondering-
-I could possible try to get no novocaine and deal with just the topical, but I am not sure if I can.

Would it be better for me to wait a month and put off the cleaning till the little bean settles in more? Would it be better to do it right away- which would be about 20 days into the pregnancy, or to put it off a month, either regarding the topical or if I have to get novocaine?

i steer clear of ALL drugs in the 1st trimester!! After that, if you have to, then tell your dentist, there is somethingn they remove from the injection, it won't last as long, but is slightly easier on baby.
