OPK specifics...?

OK, since for me, OPKs havent worked until this cycle...

yesterday, i got 2 lines, the test line was equally as dark as the control line.

today, 24 hours after the test yesterday, the test line is WAY darker than the control line....

which should i consider to as a guage for when O will occur? would the darker line mean that O is imminent, and the line yesterday just that LH was on the rise? is it 12-36 from yesterday, or from today?

also... maybe TMI warning- we BD Sunday night, Monday night, took off tuesday night, BD Weds and Thurs. should we take off tonight, or BD? We are going out to dinner, and my Dear dear DH tends to "overindulge" at this place, since it's his favorite restaurant. when he's that full, it grosses me out. i'm afraid he's going to :Puke !

should i tell him to restrain himself at dinner, or let him go hog wild?

thanks ladies!

So, if you still have a BFN after like 20 DPO, maybe get bloods done, and if neg, then stop the progest. your AF should come in 1-2 days. (Progesterone is what causes elevated temps, and also causes nausea, fatigue, irritability, etc. all pg symptoms.) I think there's still hope, bc depending on your dosage, you might not be taking enough that it's causing the sypms all on it's own... :
Last month my period came even tho I was using the cream. Spotting, and the next day my period right on time. I'm using a little less than half a tsp morning and night. People say to stay on it till your period starts...This month I had spotting twice, and then nothing but yellow CM. I don't think that's the cream holding my period back, but I will keep it in mind and appreciate your thoughts. I'll see my doc if I don't have AF or a positive in a few more days.

I didnt realize it was NPC... i havent used that before, only prescription kind.

I have been wanting to try NPC, and i'm glad to hear what your dosage was. I might get some this weekend.

you should be fine, and now your symps sound more promising than ever!!!!!
definitely go to the dr if you get to like 20 DPO... because that's a really really long luteal phase if you're not pg.
but,..... : that you are!!

when i was on the natural progesterone cream (same dosage as you, maybe a little less) i had all the pregnancy symptoms... but my period still came on time.

mind you, I had NO chance whatsoever of getting pregnant that month, i was trying to lengthen my LP so that i had a chance while DF was home

I don't know what's up with me. I was down yesterday afternoon, but I was at the office all by myself yesterday then came home to an empty house til DH got off four hours later. Maybe just being alone and my mind racing about TTC and being pregnant and wanting it so bad just got me down. I had a bit of an upset stomach last night when DH and I were walking around at a couple of stores and had a bit of cramps like AF was coming. Once my stomach stopped hurting I started feeling better all together so I think it must have been related...it's way too early for AF-type cramps.

Today it's worse. I had a conversation with someone and I just broke down when I got off the phone. Shortly after, DH called and as soon as I heard his voice I lost it. I normally get more emotional before AF, but 7dpo seems a little early. Maybe AF is just gonna come early? Anyway, I have no symptoms other than I feel emotional and my boobs are very sore but that all happens most months before AF arrives...I'm just wishing I had kept a better log on how I feel at this time of the month.

LZP: I'd BD tonight and tomorrow night just to be safe. If your opk was at its most + then you should bd. And Thanks for telling me your sucess diareah 6dpo story! I hope that was implantation for me! OH and also yesterday I had a really sharp pain on my right side. I hope it was implantation!!!!!

Bananabee:
Your chart looks great I hope you get a bfp soon!! I wonder if I shoudl use NPC because my LP is pretty short. hmm...

Jennifer: I am hoping for your BFP soon too!!

HappiLeigh! YAY!!!! I am thrilled to get to move someone over to the BFP's!!! YAY! :

And to everyone...I HATE cottage cheese.

AFM: today is 7dpo...I really wanted to test but I didn't. I think I will test tomorrow though. ok I'll probubly talk myself out of it by tomorrow, but after LZP's story I may not be able to hold back But I'll try until atleast next Wednesday. I'm fairly certain I'll cave on Sunday though. Just in case of a Fathers Day bfp But can you even trust bfp's before you're late for AF? because it seems like even if you get a good dark bfp if you're not late it could be chemical or something...is my thinking wrong??

I've been overly moody and emotional as well. I thought that maybe my O was the earlier date and AF was coming because I REALLY feel like she is here. I cried all day wed, and yesterday had zero patience with dd It sucks.

Grapes - It's so hard to tell, but being THAT emotional.... hmmmm could be a good sign!!! and the sore bbs so early.... also another good one!
woo hoo... and your temps are looking REALLY GOOD!

Danielle- I didnt test until 10 DPO that time, and got a nice (albeit faint) line and a nice "Pregnant" on an HPT at 10 DPO. HOLD OFF ON TESTING!! much more fun to get a real BFP than BFN.

Oh, and only here at MDC TTC forun would "success diarrhea" be mentioned... and HOPED FOR!!!!

my cycle this time is very similar to that cycle, so i am really hoping this is our time!!!

We are both 7dpo...maybe that has something to do with it. It seems every month I have a day or two mid-2ww that I feel that I am for sure not pregnant and get sad. Then I once again convince myself that I am and am all better til AF shows... It's a vicious cycle... On the bright side, it's Friday and I will have a ton of fun with DH and will make Monday (10dpo) seem to come so much faster. I am thinking that I might cave and test on Sunday though to surprise DH if it's a BFP. That would be an awesome Father's Day gift!

Thanks, Liz! I am thinking the same thing, but am trying not to get myself overly excited. It's probably too early for implantation much less any pregnancy symptoms. Thanks for the encouragement!

Grapes - HEY HEY - positive thoughts!!! implantation can occur from like 3-10 DPO. sometimes, sooner or later, even, those are just averages. its So possible!

Danielle - the way I see it, if hCG is produced in enough volume to give a BFP, then you're with child. egg has been fertilized, implanted, and cell division is going at warp speed... (the definition of "child", of course, is subjective, and i'm not trying to debate that!!) testing before AF could give you a BFP and then you could still get AF if there was something "not right" in the cells, or if hormone balance is off. but SO SO many people get BFPs at like 10 DPO and remain so until LONG after AF shoudl arrive - like 9+months longer!

YAY! Good!! seriously, it's so early right now, there's no reason to be anything other than optimistic.

You had good timing with BD, temps are up, and you're an emotional basketcase- all good signs!

Thank you, ladies! I'm encouraged more than ever, then! If it helps any, I had stinky diarrhea a few days ago...it really surprised me, as I cook at home, and have been eating great. So here's to a whole bunch of March 2010 babies!! You know, it seems to me more babies ARE generally born in March. I read a study on it back in college. My DH is from a fam of 10 kids and half of them were March babies, too.

Could you clarify that? Do you mean you tested and got a BFP?

Hi all...it amazes me how long this thread is - it's over before I even begin reading! Still waiting to be ready...but getting there. I could conceivably see benching the goalkeeper next cycle. Not temping, but using FF to track cycle length. last one was only 24 days - yipes, short! But, the one prior to last pregnancy was 26 days, and I managed to get pregnant the following one, so who knows.

Biggest deterrent? The nausea. DH & both dread the potential (likely?) return of nausea. That's 85% of the reason we haven't started yet. Sigh.

But it's encouraging to see so many mamas TTC...maybe it will get me in the mood!

And Yay for March babies! If I get pregnant this cycle the EDD based on O is March 5.

No, I haven't tested yet. I'm only 7dpo, but may break down and test Sunday at 9dpo just in case I could get a BFP for Father's Day!

I really want a June 2010 baby. One summer baby would be awesome. But I will settle for a baby any month in 2010.
