All of a sudden a few weeks ago our cat just started to kick litter out of her box all over the place. She had both a covered and an open box and would do it with both. We switched to this box:

and it stopped for a few days but now she has figured out how to kick litter out of this box too and it is everywhere!! It is really annoying, we are sweeping up litter all day long. Any suggestions? New litter (right now we use plain old scoopable litter), new box (I am hesitant to buy another after dropping $30 on that one). Not sure if it is related in any way - in an open box she has developed the habit of hanging her butt over the edge a bit an peeing over the edge of the box, once she started doing that we switched to the covered box as our only box (we used to leave both out at once - covered and uncovered). Please help!
ETA: She won't go through a flap (like on a pet door) so anything with a flap is out.
