I was hit over the weekend by the worst 'I need carbs/sugar NOW' cravings I've had in ages. I admit I caved an ate more junk thn I should have, and by yesterday and today my fasting blood sugars have been edging over 100.
Having been placed on insulin with my last pregnancy, I'm trying to avoid it this time.
My husband is trying to help, by making sure to keep healthy snacks and drinks handy for me constantly, but darnit, I really want a chocolate something or other!
The unsweetened iced tea isn't cutting it.
I think I've caught myself in time to manage everything with diet and exercise, but I need suggestions for healthy snacks that will satisfy the carb cravings. I know all the 'right' snacks and meal ideas, but I'm always looking for variety.

I need to buy a monitor and some test strips to check it at home, I really don't want to get GD because I know my hospital is super strict and intervention-y with GD moms.
