The waiting for first PP AF thread...

So I know there's a few of you out there. Where are those of you that are actually looking forward to being "normal" again? I just feel weird not having a cycle. Not looking to conceive soon, not till DD is 3 or so at this point. It'll be whenever DH comes back from his next deployment. Anyhow, I really want to have a cycle again. Anyone else? Hehe, this thread will give us a place to obsess over possible AF returning symptoms, lol.

I'm not in your boat, but I wanted to let you know that mine didn't return til 24 and 20 months respectively. But each time it did I had reallllly clear O symptoms and knew it was coming before it did. So, hopefully when it does you won't be caught unprepared in Target dressing room with rivers of blood deciding to show up (that happened to my neighbor who got her period back relatively early after birth).

I'm sure it'll probably be toward the end of breastfeeding that AF shows... but I can't help but wish for it sooner! I have had plenty of weird cramps lately though. Someone else said it might be my body trying to ovulate? hrm.

10 weeks since birth and waiting, not that i particularly want it back yet! hoping to stave off pregnancy long enough to make HBAC a possiblity.

Can't say I want it back. I hate bleeding and PMS. Ugh. I do want it to stay away, although I'd like it to come back just in time for us to TTC again. That won't be for a couple of years probably, though.

Well, I also hate bleeding and PMS but at least I would know my body might be ready for another baby Tonight I woke up with a terrible pain like it was AF already but... it was nothing...

I am also waiting around - I am catholic so its nice to be infertile, but I would like to get my cycles back and NOT get pregnant and chart successfully so I can stop obsessing over if I will be able to or not!!!!

I don't want AF back, but it'd be nice not to have to wonder. I get cramps and then I wonder if I'm going to O... and then I wonder if I should just buy a dollar store test once a month and test to reassure myself. I love babies... but I can't seem to keep them in so I'd like some space between them. And I lose my milk when I get pregnant and I'd prefer not to starve my son.

To the OP... How are you liking the rain today? We went almost a whole month of sunshine!

I think mine is trying to come back due to some pink/brown spotting on the 9th and again on the 17th/18th (brownish cm).

But.. then I remembered implantation bleeding : (once I figured out the whole 9 days between thing)

Are any of you having spotting without af showing? I don't recall this happening with my last two, but I don't think I was as cm-obsessed before either

No filia - I haven't gotten mine - but I'm just hoping I'm not jinxed!

My DD1 I had one incident of pinkish mucus when she was probably 9-10 weeks old and then NOTHING until 10 months later I had an incident of brownish CM (totally random) and then in the next 2-4 weeks (sorry I'm can't be more accurate) was my first PPAF.

DD2 I had incidents of spotting 3 times all a few weeks apart at like 9 weeks, 11 weeks and 13 weeks. But none of them were PPAF and none of them ever escalated to needing a pad or anything - just when I wiped - but since then.............nothing. Every once in awhile I get a patch of more fertile CM (nothing clear or EWCF) though and nothing but sticky/BIP for awhile now.

annie, it's good to hear that you had spotting without ovulation/ppaf

my youngest is 16 mos, so we should prolly start playing safe, you know. I keep having these instances of cm but not like I had with ovulation... just trying to gear up, I'm assuming. I did have some pink around 9 weeks pp with this one, but I also bled until 8 weeks

I figure (since I'm crazy) I'll test in a few days if af doesn't come, though I don't think I'm actually pregnant..

hopefully things will even out soon so I can start charting and quit playing this whole "let's pull'n'pray and hope I'm not fertile" game

Yeah, I POAS all the time - even though I know I'm "probably" not pregnant. So I guess that makes us both crazy!!

Talk about hoping things will even out - I'm Catholic so I can't even pull'n'pray! I just have to pay extra attention and hope that it isn't my fertile myrtle time!!

It doesn't help that I don't have a past to go off of....my other daughter I had to go back to work so I basically weaned her at 4 1/2 months and completely dried up at about 8 1/2 months - but didn't get my first PPAF until a little after 10 months PP!!

So since I plan to go for at least 18 months with this one - I don't know if I'll get it back at 10 months again, or after I wean, or what............stupid fertility - we should just have a VERY clear sign if you ask me!!!!!

hmm.. I had a bit of clear cm with red/pink streaks a few hours ago, but nothing since.

Maybe she's here? I also have a horrid headache, nausea and new mongomery glands too.

Hi ladies!

I am new here. Still waiting for PPAF. It took us 2 1/2 years TTC#1, with two losses in that time, so am hoping to TTC#2 already. But the witch stays away.

Have had wicked cramps for the last 3-4 months, no spotting at all, hoping my body is gearing up to ovulate! I am a pretty irregular gal though, so who knows. DS (14 months) still nurses at night, so until we can cut that down she may stay away. Or I might just be one of those that has to completely wean, but I am not ready for that just yet.

Welcome casa I'm new here too. My daughter is 6 months old and am breastfeeding her exclusively and no PPAF yet too. I spotted sometime ago and thought it might be implantation bleeding but a test showed me it was nothing. So am still waiting.
