Can I plant anything now?

I'm in Indiana, zone 5. Can I plant anything right now, whether from seed or from transplant? I have some open spaces in my garden. I'm heading to Lowe's today. I'd visit a local nursery but I have to get some other things and got three kids in tow so I can't make more than one stop. Any info appreciated!

Now is a really good time to plant fall/winter squash according to my MIL. It won't do too much until it's cooler, but you can definitely start it now.

Yep. NOw is the time. Make sure you plant some seeds, too. You can still plant lettuce, beans, peas.....
