Fluid question -- sorry TMI

So last night my husband and I "completed" the deed. It had been quite a while since we actually finished with him in.
After I got up to pee and then went to bed to go to sleep. A little while later I woke up, felt wet down there and went to pee again. I soaked up the wetness with some tissue and then decided to wad some tp up and put it in my underwear.
Of course since I like to over-react I got concerned that it could be amniotic fluid. It smelled just like seminal fluid, and looking at it dry this morning it feels like seminal fluid.
Have I just forgotten how much leaking occurs after, or does more leak now since the cervix is closed up with the mucous plug? Could it have been amniotic fluid -- or does it not seem likely?
I just need someone to put me at ease.
Baby was kicking plenty just after we finished, and I felt it moving around throughout the night when I would wake up and again some movement just now.

I should add, I'm not leaking anymore and nothing leaking onto the wadded up toilet paper. I leaked a little in bed (a couple of drops) and then when I soaked it up with the tissue (it was a napkin I folded in half and it didn't soak through to the other side).
The more I think about this the more it sounds like seminal fluid to me... but more experienced ladies please chime in

I wouldn't say I am more experienced, but I have thought from the beginning (when I first had sex after I found out I was pregnant) that since the cervix is sealed up that there is nowhere for it to go but out I wouldn't worry too much (yeah, I know easier said than done) It is "normal" for fluid to leak out for a couple of hours after, and especially if there is no leakage now, I would rest easy.

i have been astounded at how much and how long i continue to leak fluid after we have sex. if we have it at night, i'll leak little spurts almost all the next day. it freaked me out at first, but then i realized what it was and was fine.

so, i wouldn't worry. it sure is messy, though!

You guys are making me feel better -- thanks so much!

The more I think about it the more I realize everything is fine... I just started to get nervous last night.

just adding that i totally agree this happens to me as well and i hate it. I get up to pee and clean up a bit,put undies on and then 10 minutes later have to put new undies on cause i am all wet.

Happens everytime. :P Put a panty liner in and you won't have to change undies 8,000 times.

See these are the things we need to be told about... so silly people like me don't toss and turn in bed all night worried that their amniotic fluid is leaking -- even though all signs point to it being seminal fluid. I went so far as to look at my belly (while standing in the dark room in the middle of the night) to make sure I still couldn't see my feet!

I couldn't say anything to my husband because he was completely freaked out about the bleeding I had at 12 weeks (hence the long long long time without any). I was put on pelvic rest then until my u/s at 22 weeks, and then it took me another six weeks to convince him I wouldn't bleed again (for a 3rd time).

There are SO MANY THINGS women aren't told about pregnancy!!!

Really, I almost hate that there's this perception out there that we should "love" it, we "glow", it's so "beautiful", etc blah blah. Because I don't "love" nausea, puking, constipation, burping, farting, zits, body odor, discharge from various places, my bones shifting, and an alien intruder taking over my abdomen!!! Just to name a few

I mean, yes, it's miraculous and awesome and the end result is *definitely* worth it, but I felt a lot of guilt in my first pregnancy because I didn't like it, and I felt like I should like it. I mean, it's what I'm designed to do, right?

And the problem you're describing...I definitely hate that!!! That's why I shower after sex now, or we choose other "ways" of "finishing"
