i think we have all felt that way on occasion. esp. when we're new and it seems like no one even notices we've posted!

IME posts that are quoted are often extremely amusing, extremely controversial, the correct answer to a question and the 8000 posters afterwards quote it with a :, completely outrageous ex- omg last week my MIL drove my 8 month old to mcdonalds with only a seat belt on and then bought him his own mcflurry, etc... you get the idea!

Well, I didn't want to crush her spirit too much by saying that really only about maybe 20% of the time will what you post in response to a thread garner a direct response from someone else. And you're right, no response doesn't mean that you post wasn't appreciated. There are whole threads I've read and never commented on that I found interesting or helpful.

I don't think a single person responded to me the first three years I was here! If not that's honestly what it felt like. It was pretty crushing at the time. I think it's important to not take it personally! It's not because you're not liked. :

I was honesrly sitting here thinking that same thing when I saw the post come up on the front page . I am having a breast feeding issue and posted on he BF challanges board and so far ppl have hardly looked at let alone gave any advice oh well .

Mama look how many people replied you are so popular! I wish I was that popular!! I know I have had that happen to me so many times actually the only time I feel I really was listened to was in the single parenting forum and now in the November and December due date club's see I had to go get pregnant to have people like me no just kidding (kindda) I try to reply to posts but there are sooooo many I hope you feel noticed soon if not you could do what I did and go get yourself pregnant j/k
