Stainless Steel rice cooker?

Our ancient plastic rice cooker just broke ... looking for a new one w/a stainless steel interior.

I've found this the Lotus Foods 10 cup
http://www.worldpantry.com/cgi-bin/n...prrfnbr=909918

Any thoughts? Anyone have one of these ? Or other recommendation? I don't need a more complicated one because I've got an extension cord w/a timer on it, so don't need the fuzzy logic. Also, really don't want to spend more than 100 bucks.

Also... anyone have a FAV "rice cooker" cooking book? I can order it thru inter-library loan...

Thanks So much!

That's the only stainless one I've ever been able to find.

I have a stainless steel model from Sunpentown, got it about 4 years ago and I don't remember how much it cost. It makes perfect sushi rice (don't use it for anything else, I make regular brown rice on the stovetop).

We have the Miracle Exclusives one, same as from the Amazon link. It works well. the one in the OP looks exactly the same except for the label.

Thanks ! I just ordered one ... I'll let you know how it goes.

I don't get how the machine knows when to turn on/off if there is no timer? Strange!!!

I just found this one with a clay insert, it looks like one that I might get.

It's called the VitaClay VF7900-3 Chef Gourmet 6-Cup Rice and Slow Cooker Pro, Brushed Stainless

Rice cookers know when to turn off when the temperature rises (after all the liqud is absorbed). This puzzled me for quite a while too.
