ISO long-lasting women's cotton underwear

It doesn't have to be organic, but it has to not "ride up" or start falling apart/stretching after only a year. Preferably briefs or boys-style briefs.

Anyone have a favorite brand? Which store/website do you find it in?

I've had enough of the Hanes that Target carries. :

TIA.

I'm a fan of Hanes bikinis myself. Though I could stand to branch out a bit.

You could try Bravado

I bought some of their bikini undies as a splurge for myself just before I got pregnant with my twins and it was also great to wear during some of the pregnancy since the band goes under the belly. I've had them since then (2006) and it's only recently that the band started to snarl.

So while they are pricey, I think they are great quality.

I have some that I bought at Victoria's Secret in 1995 and have been wearing regularly ever since! They're nothing fancy or silly, just cotton rib-knit with elastic that's fuzzy on the inside. I like that they have no side seams and the edges of the double crotch are sewn smooth and flat.

I've been meaning to go back and see if they still sell this kind. They were available in a zillion colors!

I need to correct myself. It is Fruit of the Loom brand that was disappointing me, not Hanes. I actually just bought some Hanes which pkg says they're not supposed to "ride up." Just laundered them, will try a pair out tomorrow.

But I will definitely keep Bravado and VS in mind. I want something high-quality that will last a good while. Thanks for the suggestions!

I love the Hanes bikinis with the comfort waistband. They do shrink a bit though, so I bought a larger size than I normally wear. The waistband is much more comfortable than the typical elastic bands I've tried previously.

"no ride up" depends on getting some that fit you well. No matter how much it's designed to "not ride up", it's still likely to ride up if it doesn't fit properly. It's been a problem for me for years, because I'm a smaller size in the hips than the waist, and it's often too loose in the legs when I get it to fit the waist without cutting in.

I have to put in another vote for the basic Victoria's Secret brand. I did get the Hanes brand from Target (I checked to make sure it wasn't FotL!) and I've been really disappointed with them. Cheaply made, pilling and unravelling within the first couple of washes, color fading.... Yuck.

I've always had a hard time finding underwear that fit, but I finally solved the problem & just stopped wearing them.

I was able to not wear underwear while I had BF infertility, but since my AF returned I have something coming out of "down there" at least 2 weeks out of every month. And I'd rather it not get on the inside of my pants/skirts.

How about thongs? If they fit right, they don't "dig in" and you can barely feel that you're wearing them. And they don't ride up- there's no place for them to go!

I stopped wearing thongs because I change my clothes in front of DD too often, and I like my tush covered!

Victoria's Secret, IMO has the BEST underwear. There is elastic around the leg holes so they stay in place. They're pricey but they last forever.
