August DDC just had their first (I think their first) baby...or babies!! Twins born at 33 weeks :

So...you twin mamas, and you early Sept mamas, are you ready yet?!???
:

I've been telling everyone at work today that my focus right now is to gestate this booger 12 more weeks (and hopefully not much more than that!!)...but to think that some of you are getting close to the 30s...wow!!!

ahhhhh! Depending on which due date I go with I'm 30 weeks as early as ----- eeeek Sunday!

Ummm... thankfully my husband is upstairs right now trying to make some sort of organization in the chaotic room we call "the nursery".

hmmm... though I can rest a little easier today after the three enormous boxes the UPS man delivered to my door

ugh - I'm starting to have stress dreams about this, I think! I dreamt last night that the baby came NOW, and it wasn't good. I have nothing organized! Hopefully in the next two weeks we'll make some serious strides...I just need that stinkin' dresser!

I'll be 30 weeks next Monday!!!!! I'm hoping for 7 to 8 more weeks after that - and no MORE! (but no less, yk?)

YIKES!

YIKES!

Oh wait, 30 weeks for a 9/1 baby is Monday? That means that as early as Sat. I could be 30 (if I go by the earliest EDD I've been told)...

I like to hang onto those extra days my midwife gave me and pretend the baby's EDD is 9/3

Sheesh! Time flies!

I keep telling the tiny dude that he's got 10 more weeks in there at least before he should even start THINKING about coming out.

this thread is freaking me out!

These babies are NOT coming out til my house is finished and ready to move into.

That is the last week of August. I WILL make it to 37 weeks.

I WILL!

Am I crazy for wanting this to be an August baby?

It is for a silly reason too: it would give us kids with b-days in June, July, August and September! Nice and even!! ha!

Oh, and the school age cutoff here is Sept. 1 which was a big pain with DS2 who was born Sept 6 :

Of course, DS2 says he really wants DS4 to be born on his birthday. AWWWWW

While I am exhausted and swollen and achy I really want this baby to stay until her due date at the earliest! For one that will put me 3 for 3 with a baby coming on his/her due date based on ovulation but seriously I won't be ready before then. Mentally once that due date comes I am ready, and I like knowing how long I have to buy the baby 'stuff' that we need. I am already feeling the pressure! YIKES!!!! So going on my due date I have 13 weeks until baby will be here.......still freaks me out!!

I, too am getting overwhelmed! I have stuff everywhere and no one to help me with it. MIL is talking about a shower August 1st but would have happily waited until mid to late August. That irked me because I don't like to wait until last minute for all to be ready. I have more furniture in my house than it can hold and need to sell a large beige chaise lounge that I have had for 4 months! I bought it, thought I liked it, got bigger, hate it and now want to get rid of it so I don't feel so cluttered! MIL acts as though we could cram more in here but I am not a pack rat and am feeling closed in now! She would keep everything including the tissue that comes out of your new tennis shoes. She once found a bag of opened dog food in the road, stopped and picked it up saying that she might use it and get this...SHE DOES NOT HAVE A DOG! Yea, she is seriously driving me nuts! She still has that dog food and it has been at least 6 months since she found it...Crazy anyone??? On another note, my bedroom is crammed full of furniture that had to be taken out of the third bedroom to make room for a nursery which now that I think of it, I don't even know that I will use as I still have my 7 yo in my bed. I have a bassinet so why did I move all furniture into my already tiny bedroom? At one point, I could not even get around the bed. Baby's room is almost completely empty- what am I doing?

We have the school age cut-off at Sept 1 here too. I'm prepared for this baby to go late, since both my sister and I were late to our own parties. But at the same time I know I need to be ready by August 30th (the original due date given to me), which is my husband's birthday
