Popping in quickly. We are going to Seattle tomorrow for DH"s job interview (!!) and I LOST MY sling, my mamma's milk sling. I am so sad because I wanted to use that over the mei tai in the airport. Boohoo. I may stop down to a store near here to find a new one...but I feel silly putting down money for it when we're between jobs and I have a mei tai...Ezra sleeps better in the mamma's milk and I like it a little more at this age. Sigh. What else is comparable? The lady at the store I called said the maya wrap is like it...but it's like $65.

Is your mamas milk sling one of the adjustable ones? If so I don't really know of any that are like it except maybe kangaroo korner adjustable cotton pouch. If you need it by tommorow though maybe a hotsling? I don't think they are adjustable but target carries them. I have never used one but I have heard great things about them.

Oh Alicia... I so understand... I lost my favorite pouch sling this winter :-( It was homemade. I have not managed to make one I liked as much yet.

Just checking in here, things are going pretty well. Olivia is already out of newborn sizes at just over 3 weeks! Last night was the first night that she was just awake. all. night. Luckily she napped with me twice today.

The past week and a half she's had serious fussiness around 7pm... tonight she cried for a few minutes right at 7, but is now asleep! No witching hour tonight (so far... knock on wood!)

I can't believe how much she's changed already. It's pretty amazing.

Stopping in for a quick hi!

Its been super busy with DD, DS, trying to keep up with work stuff. DS has been suffering from serious issues with choking while drinking from the bottle, we're still only getting about 1 nursing session a day, but I'm keeping it up. We had to change his formula to stop the choking and throwing up. Also been having to deal with what was either SEVERE dry skin or its eczema. I've been treating that with a cream I found at Walmart and so far its healing. Not a fun last couple of days. All seems to be calming down now, I've managed to get both kids asleep in their room so I can have my bedroom back to myself with the computer and TV for a couple of hours.

Thank you! I may check Target. You are right, they seem pretty similar except for being adjustable. I wasn't able to get to the one store, but a lady sells them out of her home near me and I may stop by in the morning.

My update:
Last week, I flew with my 2 1/2 week old. It was a quick (and easy) flight, while Chunka drove with Daddy the whole 15 hour trip. They made it. And then we said goodbye to Daddy while he went to his research site. I'm surviving solo with two! Good thing Beauty is an easy baby. I'm at my mom's house so she's helping and Beauty loves to sleep on her.

The worst part so far was when my mom fell and injured her shoulder and back while chasing Chunka. So I'm the sole adult in the house who can make dinner. Grandpa could, but hasn't made dinner for the women in in life, like ever? I watched my grandma do it until she died and then my mom took over, and when my mom can't do it, its me. Hmmm, I'm not so okay with that.

We've been having fun times too. Today Chunka and I played in the fishy pool (same one Beauty was born in) while the babe slept in Nana's lap.

I started a combination yoga/meditation DVD and its made a huge difference in my mood, resilience and patience. My husband says I need to keep it up. I agree. 15 minutes yoga and 20 minutes meditation. I'm still hoping to get the meditation in tonight. So off for that...

AJ is wearing a pair of newborn size pajamas, and they are stretched to the max. He's 3.5 weeks old. I'm sad, i like his froggy pajamas..lol Guess I'm packing up his newborn clothes and storing them this week.

Sweetie went out and bought an elliptical yesterday. I put it together by myself, it took like all day. I did 20 mins on it this morning...It says I burned 200 calories. woo hoo! : I will probably do another 20 mins later today while AJ naps. I'd like to lose a few lbs and hopefully can find some clothes that fit before I go back to work on July 24. My goal is 10lbs, which I think is reasonable if I start eating correctly and using the machine...*Crossing my fingers.)

Nice! Where we are moving has a huge basement, and I am so getting an elliptical! I love them! And other good news, I'm wearing a pre-pregnancy t-shirt today and dont feel horrible!

I had a newborn outfit I bought Addie that fit her for one week. I just bought her a 3-6m Gymboree dress from a second hand store that is so tight, it might fit for a week. I have giant mutant babies.

I'm already noticing some 3-6 getting snug, and some 6 months clothes are starting to fit! I want my baby to stay little

Oh this is totally nerdy, but its really fun to track. I made an excel spreadsheet with Allie's and River's weights by age in days. Then I made a line graph with it. River started bigger, but Allie has a steeper line. River is bigger than Allie was at the same ages, but it looks like around 6 weeks or so is when the line will intersect, and then he'll be smaller. IF the growth rate stays the same. So my 6 week pp visit will be kind of exciting to see if he's smaller than Allie was at the same age. I know, ridiculously nerdy, but I cling to any hope that I might have a 1 year old under 30lbs! :

I just sorted out my clothes drawer and pulled all the newborn stuff, and organized the 0-3 month stuff...I have Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much. Hopefully he can wear most of it before he grows out of it.

Just a quick post and run...

Crazy life right now.

DS's started baseball camp Monday. DS#1 got hurt within the first hour. That night he went to the dr., then radiologist and by Tuesday afternoon, he had a lovely neon orange cast. He fractured his wrist.

We also have family visiting from out of state, my refrigerator died, my cell phone is dying as of yesterday and our hamster got loose (but has sine been found, three days later ).

Work just called seeing when I could come back. I was trying to wait until the 11th, but they need me in soon so I'm looking at going back Friday, the 3rd. I want to cry just thinking of leaving my baby. I love my job, but I absolutely do not want to leave him. I don't have much choice, though.

You must be my long-lost sister. That is SO something I would do. I'm surprised that I haven't! DD was 8lbs 3oz at birth and 11lbs 9 oz at 6weeks. DS was 8lbs 6oz at birth and 11lbs 3oz at 6 weeks... DD is currently 35lbs and 25 months, wonder how big DS will be! If he's like all the other boys in the family he's going to be talllllllll and skinny.

DD2 was 7lbs 12oz at birth and Monday at the doctor's was 9lbs 7oz. She was 15 days old!!! I think I have super milk!!

We're on the same track! She hasn't been weighed very recently, but she was 7lbs 9.5oz at birth, and was 8lbs by 9 days! We're at 24 days now, I'm very curious to know what she weighs now.

Just popping in really fast. Have any of you dealt with cradle cap? How?! Dd has a bad case of it and I have no idea how to get rid of it!

I've heard that olive oil and gentle massage will get rid of cradle cap. DD had a mild case of it that I did nothing for and it went away on it's own. DS has a slightly worse case and my mother told me to just brush his hair every day and it should get rid of it; it's starting to look better today, after 2 days.
