Food:

Honey sticks
Bananas
homemade popsicles
chicken soup with lots of rice (I really need carbs last time around)
blueberries
yogurt

Coconut water sound interesting. How strong is the taste?

As for music I like stuff I can sing along with. Bob Marley (Three Little Birds was playing when ds was born), The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Grateful Dead, Arlo Guthrie, etc.

It's pretty mild...a little sweet but not nearly as sweet as other electrolyte drinks like gatorade or some equivalent. It's also really high in potassium and magnesium...good for muscle cramping during pregnancy. I buy it at our co-op in a carton...much easier than breaking open young coconuts!

Chicken soup with rice seems like a good idea. I was thinking since it will be August and hot out I wouldn't want soup, but I definitely want something with some protein and carbs on hand for energy.

Thanks Mama Wolf, I'll have to look for some.

Hot soup in August usually isn't my thing either, but I need something that is liquidy and digests quickly and chicken soup fits the bill. I don't remember the heat being an issue for me last time around (and it was the middle of July) and I was climbing in and out of a very warm tub along with eating soup.
