I bought 6 yards of a gauzy fabric to make a wrap. This will be my first wrap. The fabric is too wide off the bolt, but I've read lots of variance for how wide a wrap should be.

i want to be able to do back carries

i have some back issues so i need to distribute the weight evenly
summers in my area are warm and humid and we both get moist quickly
so i've heard anywhere from 23-30 inches wide; thoughts?
