Is it possible...

...to wear an infant and a toddler?

I have a Heart2Heart ring sling (which I *adore*), and DS very much likes to be worn. Even at 7 months pregnant, I'm wearing him at least once a day, more if we're out and about. He's still worn down for daily naps, and he even asks to be worn now more and more often.
I'm getting a bit worried, though, as the new baby's due date approaches, at how I'll wrangle both of them. DS is pretty heavy, about 30 lbs at 17 months, and he's usually on my hip. I don't want the new baby's arrival to cut into DS's time being worn, but at the same time I can't imagine having a newborn and not wearing the baby several times a day. So how can I carry both?

I've done 2 maya wraps, one front and one on back.

I've done maya back carry and kozy front carry.

I've done kozy front or back carry and maya side carry.

I've done it. It's not easy, but doable.

You need a good strong kozy/mei tai or ergo for the toddler and something like a moby for the newborn.

Thankfully by the time my dd was out of her newborn days, her older brother had gotten his fill of being babied and carried on my back (or dh's) and didn't ask again.

Thanks for the replies

I have a friend who's lending me her Mei Tei, so I guess I'll be keeping my eye out for a nice wrap for the little one!

Thanks again for the advice!

I've been successful with a maya in front for the baby and an ergo or mei tai in back for the tpddler, but not postpartum, or in that first month. It's just too much weight.

but my babe was nearly 12 lb at birth, soymmv.

sorry, nak.

I've worn a woven wrap on my back and a ring sling on the front, while nursing.

I've also done a mei tai on my back and a wrap on the front.

But I can't do it for a long time, its too much weight on my knees and feet.
