All my zucchini and yellow squash plants have powdery mildew 
I read online to make a mixture of water, dish soap and baking soda and spray on the affected leaves (top and bottom of each leaf). So I did that this afternoon. I came home from work tonight and probably half the leaves I sprayed turned brown! What gives?!? If I pull all the affected leaves I'll be left with virtually nothing (maybe 75% of the leaves are affected).
What do I do? Did I just kill the plants??
