The Easiest way I've found to turn a prefold into a fitted.

Here's a mini-tutorial I did showing how a novice sewer like myself can pretty quickly and easily turn a prefold diaper into a fitted diaper. I just thought I'd share. I took a couple of ideas from other people's free websites, but adapted them for the super easy sewing. No serger needed, no creating castings for elastic, no velcro (unless you want), etc. etc. Let me know what you all think and let me know if you can think of a way to make it better without making it difficult on us people new to sewing!

I have made pre-fitted that way before too. Making it a pocket and adding a strip of fleece in the middle makes it an awesome night dipe

(i.e. fleece on the outside like an embellished prefold) - it provides an extra layer of waterproofing when using wool.
I had also put a layer of microfleece inside middle to make it a pocket.

SO you had:
( Baby's bum) - Microfleece layer - (Insert of my choice) - Prefold layer - outer fleece strip - (wool soaker on top)

I was thinking of selling those and then I had a second look at my sewing and decided to keep them for myself and keep only selling my crocheted item

This is awesome! Thanks so much... I will have to try this on a prefold I don't mind ruining. I am a horrible seamstress, so as simple as it is I can see it taking a couple tries before I get it right.
