What the H#$@ is going on?! (TMI)

This baby is #2 and I really have no idea what is going on here! I feel like I am having contrax but then I have to poop, like ALL THE TIME. Some of the cramping made me stop in my tracks and take a deep breath. Is it contrax? Is it the pooping, or both?

Often in early labour the body cleans itself out to make room for the baby as it passes down. I'd say it sounds like you are in early labour!

Every baby is different, every birth is different.

I pooped a ton in early labor.

I didn't have that sensation with my first baby either but it was definitely part of my early labor with my June baby. Hope this is it for you! :

I have had a couple days of the contractions/pooping thing that your describing over the last week and a half. No baby yet for me though! You have my sympathy. It is painful and frustrating!!

Visiting from July, but being 37.5 weeks I am going through that already.
It is early labor.
Now, how long that will go for, one can't know for sure...
I have contractions accompanied by bad tummy for weeks before labor, but that's because I have had so many kids.
Things do feel different the more kids you have.

huh. well that explains alot because im having the same thing. ive been blaming everything i put in my mouth. now i can say its very early labor! yay!

I've had the same thing! I think we're due the same day, or close (29th?)... but yeah, I've had major pooping going on for the past week or so. And many cramps/contractions that make me stop and sort of take my breath away.... but of course there is no pattern or consistency. I hope it means something though! I just really don't want to be pooping the whole time I'm in labor...

You know I am all about the poop threads. Shits flame on! That's the name of a song I wrote last night. Not really, but I long to see just a solid log of something. Looks like that will be a while. I'm due technically the 27th so we're up shit creek together, girl. We can share a paddle as long as we're not in a wire canoe!!
