Chickenpox question

DS got the chickenpox vax on schedule a few years ago before I knew any better, he hasnt/wont recieve the booster, but we have decided not to vax our upcoming baby for chickenpox. My question is, if/when she gets chickenpox how will this affect DS who has had the initial vax? (Sorry, this may be a dumb question, I am only wondering since he hasnt/wont get the booster.)

We were in this exact situation. DS 1 was completely vaxed except he didn't and won't get his boosters. I was hopping that the CP one had worn off or was ineffective for him but when DS 2 got CP and DS 1 didn't. You hear of so many fully vaxed kids getting CP anyway, I was hopping DS1 would be one of them so he wouldn't end up getting it as an adult when the vax wears off.

If the original vax has worn off, he may get a milder case of the CP, but he may not as well. Such a conundrum!
