Carabelle Jean has arrived!

Our baby girl was born Tuesday morning (6-16) at 6:12 am. We had a wonderful waterbirth and things went so well! She was 8 lbs. 14 oz. and 21 in. long. We got to the birth center at 4:30 am and when the midwife checked me at 5:00ish I was 7 cm. I still wasn't even sure I was definitely in active labor! My boys were there (they are 5 & 10 yrs. old), my parents, and my good friend who acted as our "photographer".

Carabelle is very alert and nursing wonderfully. I feel fantastic (except for one nasty huge hemorrhoid) and had no tearing at all. We even went out for pizza last night! I'm going to attempt to post links to some photos...

My husband was there too, I should definitely mention him because he was a great support person!
