Search function

Before when I would do a search, I would get lots of results, and both current as well as archived threads. Now it seems as if the search function has changed: when I type in a word to search, I don't seem to get anything, or just a few results that are more like articles, not the threads I was hoping for. I don't understand how this new search mode works. Can anyone advise me or tell me what has happened? Thanks!

Which search feature are you using? Are you clicking on the "search" link and using that or are you clicking on the "search" box in the new design?

The "search" link on the forums will bring up threads but the "search" box is for the whole site and will bring up articles.

I was clicking on the "search" box in the new design, to the bottom right of "mothering" underneath "news, blogs, reviews, fun, videos,..."

But now that you mention there is a "search" link, I will try that (User CP, Mothering, ...... New Posts, Search, .....). However, I notice that I can't find it unless I log in. Does that mean I will have to log in everytime in order to use that "search" function? I like to find threads, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to log in everytime in order to use that function.

Yes, one has to be logged in to use the board search.

You can just stay logged in by clicking on the "remember me" box when logging in.
