Anyone else growing black beans? I just couldn't stand the thought of growing them only to let the first beans dry on the vine and kill the plants. So, we decided to harvest them young like green beans. Oh wow are we getting ALOT! They are producing more than our green beans! We are also picking the cowpea pods early. I just cannot get over how many green black bean pods we are getting! Going to make a whole bunch of them into dilly beans today.
