Did they increase nausea significantly?

I just started 12.5 mgs Zoloft with the intention of upping to 25 mgs (25 was therapeutic for me post-partum)

I'm 14 wks preg. and was just starting to feel my nausea taper off a bit, but it seems to have increased a lot since taking Zoloft for 4 days.

I'm just bummed because I'm seriously ready to stop feeling nauseous and gagging. The nausea is contributing to my anxiety and I want it to stop.

I don't remember having any nausea with starting Zoloft post partum, but then again I wasn't pregnant...

Input?

Nausea was one of the medication side effects, it went away after about a week. It should start to taper off again soon. Keep taking the zoloft though, give it a week, maybe 2.

Yes. It made me very nauseous for about a week or two, then I was fine. It's a totally normal side effect, so don't worry about it. It DOES go away.

I started it almost 2 weeks ago and it made me nauseous for about 5 days and it has been gone ever since. I was exactly 16 weeks when I started. I also started on 50mg and intend to stay at that unless it needs to be upped PP or unless I need an upping. It is worth it to stay on there has been the biggest change to the point of even my Dh saying I am so happy you started taking that you are more like yourself in a short amount of time hang in there mama it will pass.

Thanks everyone... I upped to 25mgs today and didn't have an increase in nausea (still nauseous but not any worse), just jittery and dry mouth which I remember from last time I took it.

I'm looking forward to feeling better and getting some sleep!

Yep, the SSRIs are notorious for gastro-intestinal effects. It went away in 4-7 days for me. Really.

Thanks for checking in!

I'm doing ok. I had to take Ambien for a few nights to sleep while the Zoloft is kicking in...

I'm feeling much better with the sleep under my belt, but now I'm worried about being able to sleep without meds. Jeez!

I was going to ask... any of you get major muscle tension with SSRI's? I kinda remember that from before but am wondering if it goes away with time...

It is so funny how medications react different for everyone. The Zoloft whipped me out! I was so tired for about a week and a half! I am sure you will beable to sleep with out it once your body adjusts to it. I do get the muscle tension but it is more when I am trying to relax. but if my memory serves me right it will go away.

I am happy to hear you are doing a little better

I tried Zoloft and it gave me nasty and almost constant diarrhea. Prozac did to some extent as well, so I took anti-diarrhea medicine for it until my body got used to it. I think all SSRIs cause some stomach upset. You might want to talk to the doctor about it. Doesn't B6 help nausea?
