this is probably it for me...UPDATE POST#9

I am totally not one to admit that THIS IS IT, but I really think this is it.

I have been having contractions 4-5 minutes apart for the past 3 hours. They are now very intense and semi-painful. I am watching TV with DH and enjoying the quiet house right now.

I have had this very weird surge of adrenaline rushing through my body for the past 2 hours. Is that normal? I feel like I have taken some kind of drug. ( i totally have not! just for the record)

Anyway, I am so excited.

I did not have an adrenaline rush myself...

5 minutes apart. very painful. not able to talk or think during them. was able to get a tad bit of sleep from about 3-4am. i think maybe i should call my midwife now.

called the MW. she said i should get in the tub to try to relax since i was having such a rush of adrenaline. it helped. about 5 minutes later, huge globs of bloody mucus came out of me. and the contractions got even more intense. painful. eating something now since i have not eaten in hours.

still haning out here. got in the tub once more around 9 and layed down and was able to sleep for a bit, off and on. the contrx spaced very far apart, but still very painful. got up about 45 minutes ago as the contrx returned to about 7 minutes apart, and even more painful. i am sitting on my ball and contracting away.

Glad you were able to rest some! I am in NC almost SC so I can imagine that its probably as hot there as it is here right now - misery, eh? Good luck!

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to post. I was sent right to bed after getting things all cleaned up a fter the baby was born.

The MW came to the house at 6:30pm. I was 8cm!! I was so excited to hear that. After about another hour, and some very intense contractions, our son was born into his daddies arms. DH did wonderful and was such a good support person. My oldest son made it into the room just in time to see his brother be born and cut the cord a little while later. He was fascinated with the whole thing.

All the other kids did great too. THey went to t he neighbors house about 15 minutes before the baby was born, since they were getting pretty antsy.

The baby does not have a name yet. We are working on it. I will be able to post pics in the morning.

Oh a nd he weighs 8 pounds even and 20 inches long.
