Can essential oils in homeade wipes solution cause build up on dipes?

I want to make my own wipes solution by using baby shampoo, calendula oil, and water. Will the residue from the calendula oil effect my diapers. Will it cause build up?

I have never seen calendula sold as an essential oil, only as an infused oil (usually with an olive oil base). Essential oils (like lavender) should not cause build-up because they evaporate very quickly, but infused oils are emoillent so they certainly will.

I would recommend using calendula hydrosol instead. I use both calendula and chamomile hydrosols in my wipes, along with witch hazel, aloe vera gel, and a bit of castille soap. poured onto already wet (with water) wipes. it works wonderfully!
