Needless to say I am reducing my sugar consumption (even if I do or don't get cancer it will be good for my body) anyway just wanted to throw that in there.

I am not saying sugar CAUSES cancer just that it could be a factor.

I do agree with this. From what I read back when dh was going through chemo (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong) but that cancer cells feed on sugar.
Either way, it's definitely healthier to cut back.

Replying to Post # 5 :  Are apricot kernels useful in the treatment / cure of cancer ?  Before anybody opens his Big Mouth to give a bogus opinion on this subject I suggest her/him to get

the proper knowledge to play safe in the issue by reading : 1) ''Outsmart Your Cancer'' By Tanya Harter Pierce, MA; MFCC - Chapter 6. 2) www.laetrile.com

                                 3) ''Cancer Free'' - Bill Henderson page 182. 4) ''Cancer - Step Outside The Box'' - Ty Bollinger.  read about The Hunza people who never gets cancer by eating

apricot fruit with its kernels. ''Let Food Be Your Medicine And Medicine Be Your Food'' - Hippocrates. Also read in this same book on page 405 - Jason Vale Story.

''Everyone should know that most cancer research is largely a fraud and that the major cancer research organizations (Pharmaceutical Industry, American Cancer Society

Sloan-Kettering, National Cancer Institutes, etc.) are derelict in their duties to the people who support them'' Linus Pauling, PhD - Two times Nobel laureate.

Mushrooms are a source of selenium, an antioxidant.  I do not know if this survives the cooking process.
