Baby wearing + portable baby seat

I will be traveling with my 7-month old, and I do not want to bring my stroller. The trip will involve beach and other outdoor outings.

I would like to carry him in my beco butterfly when we go hiking or strolling on the beach, but, when we stop to picnic, I would like to sit him up somewhere, hands free, so that I can feed him solids or otherwise just have him not attached to me for a little while.

I need something along the lines of the folding bouncers they have for small babies, but something suitable for a 20-lbs baby that can sit up.

I am considering the bumbo: http://www.bumboseat.com/
which also has a tray attachment.

but, it's not foldable.

Any suggestions for a foldable, light, seat for a baby that I can plunk down on the beach or park to take a break from babywearing?

DS didn't fit in the bumbo much past that age--chunky thighs. Also, it would be heavy and unwieldy to lug along while babywearing/hiking. Just take along a lightweight blanket or towel. They even make zip-up blankets which come with a strap!

there was a foldable on the go booster seat that attaches to the table at bedbathandbeyond.com. it was $20 but every time i checked, it was sold out. i gave up checking a month ago lol

How mobile is your ds? Could you just fold up a towel or blanket and sit him on it, or will he crawl off?
