Is anyone into him at all?
My mil has kind of gotten me into him, and I really enjoy his books.
I have just read Monsoon, and loved it. Found it really interesting, and liked it as it was long too, I could really get my teeth into it!

One of my all-time favorite books is one of his: "The Burning Shore". Incredible story and one of the greatest female protagonists ever written, forget Scarlett O'Hara! .

I also really enjoyed "The Sunbird" with its ancient African and supernatural-ish feel.

I love Wilbur Smith! I read his books and get completely caught up. Every book I've read is so well-researched and realistic that I have to remind myself that the author wasn't actually there. I just finished re-reading a few of the Courtney series books.

OH, I'll have to read that one next. My mil has a stack of them put away, and she hands them off to me when she is finished reading.
The only other one that I have read prior to Monsoon, was set in Zimbabwe with the main character ( Craig ) and the political strife that affects that region of the world. It was truly fascinating.
