Blackberry?

Do you have one? Do you like it? What kind do you have?

I'm up for my "new every 2" with Verizon, and thinking I need to get more with the times. Right now, I just have a standard cell phone, but probably need to get something w/a keypad so I can check my emails on the road.

DH has one for work. I don't generally travel and really don't want to be answering e-mails at the grocery store so I haven't considered getting one. The biggest downside is that you need a data plan for it to work and those are expensive. I think it added $45 to our monthly cell phone bill although some devices I've heard require data plans in the $70+ range.

I have a Storm and love it and dh has the Curve a hand-me-down from me) and we both love the Curve. For a started phone I would go with the Curve because the Storm has a steep learning curve and there is supposed to me a new one coming out soon. You do have to add a data plan to a Blackberry, though, so be sure to look at that cost.

You can also figure out the cost of canceling early (termination fees are usually pro-rated) and going with a different company depending on the costs. Dh and I get a corporate discount so Verizon is the cheapest, but AT&T for the iPhone is pretty close to the discounted rate so that might be something to look at.

I left Verizon to go with AT & T for an iPhone and I LOVE it. Love love love it with a passion most unnatural. :::

I think it's been totally worth it for my business (not to mention deductible as a business expense if you follow the rules). I get a lot of customer questions via email, and if I'm just hanging out on the playground with my kids, I can shoot back replies and nail down sales. I have my calendar on me at all times so I can schedule consultations when I get calls for those. I can look up my bank account info, shoot emails off to vendors, look something up on the web.....

I really don't know what I did without it. But if I were you I'd get an iPhone. DH has a Blackberry and it's not nearly as useful or functional IMO.

I LOVE my Blackberry! I have the Curve but plan to get a Storm when my area of the country gets enabled for the 3G network.
