Bumpy Wool Cover

I have a Bumpy wool cover that I got when I bought a lot of used diapers. I'd never used it before, but I want to give it a try and am wondering how to wash it. It's wool, but it seems to be felted.

wash with a wool wash (eucalan, kookaburra, sonnet, sudz and dudz....) or baby shampoo - in the machine or by hand on luke warm......

Then unless it's been lanolized recently, you'll need to lanolize it.

In the Wash

Thanks for the reply. I'm seeing stuff online though that says the bumpy is unique in that it can go in the wash with your other diapers. I'd like somebody to confirm this though before I do it.

It's unique in that you can wash it in the machine.......it says the temp should be 30 degrees Celsius (86 deg. F) on the tag - that's luke warm or warm I think. but you wouldn't use regular detergent to wash it - as stated above you'd use a wool wash or similar product - you're trying to maintain it's waterproofness while with diapers you're trying to maintain their absorbency and keep oils out of them.......I hope I make sense!
